Highly recommended We went to the Goldener Anker for a wine tasting with a variety of tapas and are enthusiastic about the hospitality, friendliness and competence of the team, as well as the wonderful atmosphere of the location. A wonderful restaurant with great food and great service - an absolute recommendation! This is my second time in the "Goldener Anker" and have not regretted it. The reception and service by one of the tenants himself (Mario?) And his employee leaves little to be desired, as you can see the many years of experience and the high standards. Everything that leaves the kitchen is an absolute delight for the palate. Every single one of the tapas variations (/ antipasti) is really excellent, well seasoned and absolutely harmonious. The "aioli" is a must - order it! Although very fish and meat-heavy, vegetarians also get their money's worth due to the numerous alternatives. The homemade mushroom gnocchi are second to none - absolutely perfect. The rest can be seen in the pictures. The restaurant is relatively small but very cozy. Changing art, which can also be purchased, decorates the walls. The choice of music is perhaps a bit questionable, but at least special: D Cleanliness is great and corona rules are observed. There are disinfectants for guests in the entrance area. Thanks for wonderful evenings to the kitchen and the team around Mario and Michael - I'll be back!

Very cozy, small tapas bar - not far from the Neckar in Heidelberg. Very friendly service, good wines, no 08-15 tapas, but special delicacies. A Mediterranean restaurant that is fun.

Too bad, we were not allowed to sit in the shade on one of the three free 4-seater tables on 09.07.20 (only) as a couple. Well, then we moved on. When we came back after an hour, two of the three tables were still empty. They are so well off that they can turn away potential guests.

Thank you for the nice evenings When looking for a good meal in Heidelberg, my wife and I happened to be made aware of the Goldener Anker restaurant and decided to check the good reviews. The restaurant itself is very rustic and dark. When the weather is nice, some tables are set up outside and you sit on the sidewalk, which is more reminiscent of a student pub. The menu was small but varied and you had the impression that everything was freshly prepared, as it was not standard dishes. We then decided on a tapas variant and various tapas plates. The food was absolutely great and tasted extremely good. We actually left nothing and decided to go again the next day. We were not disappointed the second time. You can tell that the kitchen simply cooks with heart and has a passion for the dishes. The same applies to the service. We were served with as much warmth and attention as we had in a long time. Thank you for the two evenings.

Just wow!!! We were lucky enough to get a restaurant recommendation from locals and get a seat in this restaurant. The dishes are just awesome! Prepared with great attention to detail. An incredibly great selection and special and beautifully prepared in every respect. We tried our hand at the tapas - especially the fennel and the chickpea balls stuck to us as delicacies. The daily specials such as risotto were also incredibly tasty and well presented. The service staff was also incredibly friendly and courteous. Eating here is an experience. We ended it with a nice day in Heidelberg and are happy about it. The price-performance ratio is more than justified and I can only praise this exceptional kitchen. Thank you for the lovely evening.

The whole week I was looking forward to the tastiest tapas in Heidelberg and was rewarded as always with a very tasty meal. The evenings are always very nice in the restaurant. Rounded off with beautiful wines and one or the other owned specialty ... on the recommendation of the boss. The Golden Anchor ... always happy !!

Perfect atmosphere. Perfect ambience. Exceptionally good food and very nice staff. Just perfect.

In my view, a visit here is highly recommended. All tables were decently cleaned and the chairs were deeply comfortable. The dish and our drinks did not have to wait long for us. That was great because we had a crazy big binge that evening. The waiters are always very nice and very accommodating. This makes us happy with every visit.

Were there too late for another drink. Prices are okay, service staff was very nice and had a good time with us. It was a great evening.

Really great Loaction! We always like to come here with friends. Very great food and great service round off the evening always. It's just fun to be here. :-)

Good food and good drink, but food portion are too little. I finished being still hungry.

Biggest bastard. We had from our long shopping day still carry water bottles in a bag. The Lord then threw us out and said that because of these water bottles for us the kitchen was closed. There is no law that says we have to drop everything before we enter a restaurant. We already had it with us. So you're the biggest bastard.

You sit nicely, but for 4 tapas over an hour wait is unfortunately too bad. You have to be prepared for a long wait. But the food is really delicious.

Lucky to get a spot by the bar .. great food and wines, and intimate atmosphere. A Place where one might sit to solve the world's problems

Nice place with friendly people

Good atmosphere, friendly helpful staff, especially if you don't know German (our waitress translated both menus for us extremely helpful when there isn't an English menu). Lots of wine options, tapas, and main meals. We ordered the fillets of rumpsteak as tapas which was very nice. For our mains: - Duck fillets with vegetables. - European bass with a single prawn on top of risotto. - 200g medium steak with bacon wrapped vegetables and potatoes. We very much enjoyed our meals.

Great menu, well prepared, good motivated service. Not cheap but fairly priced. Tip: share the tapas as entries but the mains as well!

Lovely atmosphere (inside and outside), very friendly staff and very good food.

My boyfriend and I were there Friday night. We had a red wine and white wine, we had great time, felt cozy and good brightness inside. I would definitely recommend this place to my friends, next time I would love to try some tapas there.
